The University of Southern Mississippi’s locations along the Gulf Coast, including the Gulf Park Campus and Gulf Coast Research Laboratory, will be closed on Monday, June 8, due to Tropical Storm Cristobal. All students, faculty and staff should refrain from traveling on-site to coastal locations on Monday, June 8. Operations are expected to resume on Tuesday, June 9.
Operations on the Hattiesburg campus are scheduled to begin as usual on Monday morning.
University officials are in contact with local emergency management agencies on the Gulf Coast and in Hattiesburg, and will continue monitoring weather conditions surrounding this system.
If Tuesday’s operations are affected, the University's Eagle Alert system will again be activated to notify members of the University community.
