All University of Southern Mississippi campuses and locations in Hattiesburg and on the Gulf Coast will reopen on Tuesday, with course delivery at the Gulf Park Campus and Stennis Space Center transitioning to online delivery.
-All in-person classes on the Hattiesburg campus will be delivered as regularly scheduled.
-All in-person classes scheduled for the Gulf Park Campus or at the Stennis Space Center will be transitioned to online delivery on Tuesday due to ongoing cleanup of minor damage to classrooms at each location.
-All classes previously scheduled for online delivery will be delivered as regularly scheduled.
-Students, faculty, and staff returning to the Halstead location of the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory are asked to utilize the alternate entrance while debris cleanup at the main entrance is completed on Tuesday.
Deans and directors are asked to allow for flexibility for faculty and students who are unable to participate in in-person or online classes on Tuesday as a result of Hurricane Ida impacts and recovery. Students will be allowed to complete any work missed as a result of Hurricane Ida.
Upon returning to all locations on Tuesday, students, faculty and staff are advised to be aware of their surroundings and use caution navigating USM campuses and locations, as the Physical Plant completes any remaining debris removal and cleanup.
