Message from University Police: Severe Weather Expected on Wednesday, Feb. 5

All members of the University community are asked to prepare now for the potential of severe weather predicted on Wednesday, Feb. 5, beginning in the afternoon and continuing throughout the evening. The National Weather Service has indicated a slight risk (2 out of 5) for severe weather for much of the state of Mississippi, including all USM campuses, teaching and research sites in Hattiesburg and on the Gulf Coast.

Individuals should prepare for the possibility of heavy rain, flash flooding, high wind gusts, hail, and tornadoes.
