Message from University Police: Marginal Risk for Severe Weather Overnight

Be advised that the National Weather Service has placed the majority of south Mississippi in the Marginal Risk category for severe weather, as a system is expected to move through the area overnight and continuing through Wednesday.

The greatest threats from the system are the potential for high winds, hail, heavy rain and flash flooding. The likelihood of an isolated tornado is low but cannot be ruled out.
