Severe Weather May Impact Southern Miss Campuses, Teaching Sites through Week

A severe weather system moving into South Mississippi this week could have an impact on campuses and teaching sites in Hattiesburg, Long Beach, Ocean Springs and at the Stennis Space Center in Hancock County. This system has the potential to bring heavy rain, high winds, hail and flash flooding, with more severe conditions expected along the Gulf Coast that could include up to 10 inches of rain in some areas. Poor drainage, ponding and a rise in local rivers and streams could also occur.
